Fleeing the crisis in their country, they find in Roraima not only a new home but also a stage to continue their passions and talents. “Beyond the Sound” is a moving story of resilience, art, and solidarity, showing how music transcends borders and languages, uniting people in a common purpose.

The Directors
Junior Max and Farley Santos are a duo of filmmakers from Roraima, Brazil, known for their versatility and passion for portraying the region’s culture and landscapes. Together, they have produced several notable works in various genres, including the documentaries “WARAKAN” and the acclaimed “Nação do Silêncio,” as well as the fiction film “Pedra Bruta” and several tourism films that promote Roraima.
With a vision that goes beyond borders, the duo has established themselves as key voices in Roraima’s film scene. Their work registers, values, and publicizes Roraima’s cultural and natural richness, using film as a powerful tool to connect the local with the global.
